借你的高枝炫耀自己;
为绿荫重复单调的歌曲;
像刀,像剑,也像戟;

if i love you
wouldn't be like Jun Xiao Flower (an autumn plant) clambering and sticking
take advantage of your high branches to flaunt oneself;
if i love you
wouldn't be like infatuation bird
always repeating monotonous song for green shady;
also more than like wellspring
bringing cool and refreshing consolation all the years
also more than like the peak
raising your height, set off your impressive and dignified manner
even sunbeam
even rain of spring.
no, these are not even enough!
i must be a trunk of silk cotton at your nearby,
as a tree-figure to standing together with you.
roots, griping in the ground
leaves, touching each other at the clouds.
giving regards to each other on every wind flaws,
but there will be no one understand our talks
you have your copper branches and iron trunks
like sword, like sabre, also like lance;
i have my red large flower,
like heavy sigh,
at the same time like courageous torch.
we share responsibility for cold waves, tempest, thunderbolt,
we enjoy together glorious time, rosy clouds, rainbow.
as if always separate,
yet depend on each other all lifelong.
this is the really mighty love,
faithfully exist here:
not only loving your grandeur stature,
but also your persistent position,
land below your foot

Chinese Contemporary Literature.
This is one of my course's subject at this almost-end-year of my university. seems too old school for our sophisticated minds, but also too hard to resist for me, although every writings certainly had a bad-even terrible ending, but i found it interesting on some topics. Each era's writers' style of writing were different, and i totally like this poem.
(before this, i wrote on my blog too about Gu Cheng with his Far and Near)
Love, must driving us to be an independent person and at the same time rely on each other.
this called teamwork.
a sweet, long last, and mature friend.
to be our companion for a lifetime, forever.
and i was totally impressed with this poem. a very logic thing call love.
*anyhoo, my Laoshi said, this poem usually recite at the wedding.
ah, so sweet. maybe a fine and nice marriage is all about this :')
